Our Story

The Story Behind the SPE All-American Bowl

I, Taiwan Mixon, like many other young athletes, was once given an opportunity that changed my life. In 1999, I had the honor of representing my high school in the Fire Department vs. Police All-Star Game. That experience gave me a platform to showcase my talent, and through that opportunity, I earned the chance to continue my journey as a college football player.

The SPE All-American Bowl was created in that same spirit—to give today’s student-athletes the same life-changing opportunity I once had. This event is about more than football; it’s about exposure, scholarship opportunities, and inspiring players to believe that one game can open the door to a brighter future.
